Ladies, Gents and nonbinary Superstars… start your engines – its time to shine again because the most colorful burlesque festival in Germany, the 4th BOYLESQUE DRAG FESTIVAL in the beautiful WINTERGARTEN VARIETÉ BERLIN is entering its fourth round. And as a special highlight, there will be a sensational evening in the beautiful GLORIA KÖLN for the first time in the Cologne area as part of the COLOGNE PRIDE.After sold-out performances in 2019, 2022 and 2023, we will also return in the fourth year of Germany’s queerest burlesque festival with a grandiose lineup. Directly in PRIDE MONTH 2024 and on PRIDE WEEKEND (CSD BERLIN 2024), we are inviting over 35 drag artists, cabaret icons, acrobats and performance artists from all over the world to the capital to celebrate all forms of transformation. Drag kings, queens and non-binary superstars in glittering runway looks will be lipsynching, dancing, singing live and / or teasing on three evenings in two cities with completely different lineups. Sheila Wolf – “The search for role models was pretty easy when creating performer Sheila Wolf. Born from a way of life, a former rock’a’billy became Berlin’s only part-time rockabella and burlesque fashionista beyond gender boundaries. Enchanting role reversals between male and female and beyond are just as much a part of the program as the humorous interpretation of classic rock’n’roll and burlesque stories. Despite all the attention to detail, the wink is always in the foreground, true to the motto: “Life has enough limits for everyone”. Many years of experience at countless cultural and burlesque events as a well-known columnist, model, performer and presenter have left “creative scars”, but these are skillfully made up night after night.
Sheila Wolf is the producer of the Vaudeville Variety Revue, the Boylesque Drag Festival Berlin, co-producer of the successful Grand Hotel Faburlesque Show, the Frankfurt Burlesque Festival and the new COLOGNE BURLESQUE FESTIVAL.
