Never silent again! – The Berlin CSD e. V. forms a protective shield around the queer community with this year’s motto

“We won’t stop until everyone is heard!” Under this motto, the Berliner CSD e. V. joins the nationwide motto “Never be silent again!”. At a time when the achievements of recent decades are being called into question and attacks on the queer community are on the rise, this year’s protest remains indispensable.

“For us as a community, never again being silent means that we remain loud, that we do not allow ourselves to be suppressed, overlooked or made invisible. The attacks on our rights will not disappear after the general election. We must remain vigilant. As the Berlin CSD e. V., we will form a protective shield around the queer community. Silence was yesterday, today it will be loud and colorful,” says Marcel Voges, board member of the Berliner CSD e. V.

The motto “Never be silent again” is the continuation of the “Choose Love” campaign, in which more than 50 CSDs throughout Germany have participated. Numerous CSDs will join the new joint motto.

“The Berlin CSD is one of the most important and largest demonstrations not only in Berlin, but in the whole of Germany,” adds Thomas Hoffmann, board member of Berliner CSD e. V. “After our very successful winter CSD before the federal election, we will also send a clear signal for democracy, equality and diversity at the summer CSD.”

This year’s Berliner CSD will take place on July 26, 2025. The demands are still to be decided by the grassroots CSD forum.
