Sustainability at the CSD
At the 46th Berlin Pride on 27 July 2024, we want to stand up loud, colourful and proud for the equal rights and visibility of the LGBTIQA*+ community in Berlin, Germany and the whole world. Just as important as the protection of human rights is the protection of the environment. With a demonstration on the scale of the Berlin CSD, environmental pollution is unfortunately not always avoidable. It is therefore all the more important that we work together to minimise this as much as possible.

In 2024, the CSD in Berlin will be celebrated for the 46th time!
As you may know, the Berlin CSD e.V. organizes the Berlin Pride March for Christopher Street Day every year (with one pandemic exception in 2020) with a lot of voluntary commitment. However, such a large event still incurs high costs, which our association has to cover. In order to cover these costs, we are not only looking for advertising partners and sponsorship, but also for support from the demonstrating and celebrating communities.

Queer Mental Health Panel highlights important issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community.
On July 6, 2023, the Queer Mental Health Panel, organized by the Mental Health Taskforce of the Berlin CSD e. V., took place at the Microsoft Atrium Berlin. The event brought together a variety of experts and guests to share and discuss different aspects of mental health in the queer community. The motto this year was “How can you take care of your mental health?”
Together for more sustainability at the Berlin CSD
Not only should illegal street vending be curbed, but we are also currently discussing with the city of Berlin a ban on glass containers in the area of the closing rally. In addition, the participants should be better informed with information materials, posters and social media to dispose of their waste and especially their bottles properly or to take them home again. In order to ensure proper disposal, we will increase the capacity of the trash receptacles we set up by 40% this year.
House of Pride – the official CSD closing party
For the second year in a row, the Berlin CSD cooperates with club Ritter Butzke for the House of Pride. As the organizer of the largest Berlin Pride Party, 7 areas await you at Club Ritter Butzke. The Berlin CSD e.V. is inclusive, creative and diverse in all bookings, performances and marketing. Thus, a premiere of superlatives was created in 2022. More than 3000 guests celebrated the party of the year for more than 12 hours.
