🎉 Pride Month Opening 2025 – “Never Silent Again” 🌈

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, we’ll kick off the Pride Month together!

Under this year’s campaign motto “Never Silent Again”, the queer community raises its voice against hate, exclusion, and violence – while celebrating its strength, diversity, and unbreakable solidarity. It will be emotional, empowering, and unforgettable.

You can look forward to an activist-driven show, developed in cooperation with the Stage Company, combining queer resistance with artistic power.

In addition to the show, there will be:

🤝 Plenty of space for connection, exchange, and networking

CSD Berlin e.V. once again invites the many incredible projects, initiatives, associations, and collectives to help shape Pride Month Berlin in 2025. From June 27 to July 27, 2025, the German capital will become, for the fourth time, the stage for a diverse, political, and above all queer month of events. Starting now, all types of events can be submitted for inclusion in the official Pride Month Berlin 2025 calendar. This year’s Pride Month will be curated by our new team members Carolina Philipps and Adrian Betsch.

Recent developments show just how urgently we need a visible Pride Month Berlin: the far-right, queer-hostile party #noAfD secured over 20% of the vote in the last federal election. Funding for queer projects has already been cut significantly, with more reductions looming. The long-fought Self-Determination Act is under threat of being “evaluated” through a lens of prejudice. Meanwhile, under pressure from the U.S. government, companies are starting to dismantle their diversity and inclusion programs.

“Despite all these challenges, we want to use Pride Month Berlin to empower queers and make our voices heard loud and clear!” emphasizes leadership team member Carolina.

To achieve this, we are focusing on three main themes this year:

🤝 Resilient Queer Community
The queer community is under immense pressure, even in Germany. Funding for projects is being cut, diversity programs are being dismantled, and hard-won political achievements feel more fragile than ever. But our history proves: even in times of repression, discrimination, and violence, we have always created spaces for solidarity, resistance, and healing.

📢 Loud Against Hate
Queerphobia is real. Violence against queer people is on the rise, trans* hostility is becoming a political tool, and memorials for queer victims are being desecrated. As far-right parties spew hate and the new federal government threatens asylum rights, queer BIPoC, migrants, and trans people* are particularly targeted. We stand firmly and visibly against this.

🏳️‍🌈 Activism & Visibility
Queer activism is diverse: it happens at protests, in counseling centers, in queer networks—and also in businesses, schools, and cultural institutions. But some employers are starting to pull back their diversity and inclusion efforts, leaving queer individuals unsure whether they can still be authentic and safe at work. That’s why it’s more important than ever to show courage and solidarity—against discrimination and for real, structural change.

“With our focus topics for Pride Month Berlin, we’re sending a clear message: we won’t be silenced—and we’ll keep shining a light on injustice. And we’ll do it together. Especially in difficult times, queer solidarity is essential,” adds Adrian from the organizing team.

The themes were intentionally chosen to be broad in order to reflect the diversity within our community. Of course, events covering other topics are just as welcome!
