In order to gain the trust of a major dealer, undercover investigator Robert is supposed to let himself be infiltrated into the milieu as the partner of trans* woman Leni. A real challenge, because the two used to be a couple. For Robert, the story becomes increasingly complicated, as the line between game and real feelings for him shifts more and more. For Leni, the question doesn’t arise at all, she has no choice anyway, whether she has to go back to prison or not depends on the success of the mission. It is Victor, of all people, the big dealer, who makes Robert face his contradictory feelings of love…
The film celebrated its world premiere in competition at this year’s 73rd Berlinale, where Thea Ehre was awarded the Silver Bear for Best Supporting Actress for her acting performance.
