The view from the outside into the wide world of fetish sex is all too often tunnel vision, and non-initiates assume it to be filled primarily with grim-faced people in black leather. But on closer inspection, of course, everything is quite different, and in fact it opens up much more as a colorful, diverse playground that always makes room for the unexpected and the amazing. The short film program brings together films from 17 years and six countries and sheds light on the most diverse facets of queer fetish culture – from funny to sexy, from documentary to pornographic, from musical to experimental, from playful to hardcore. Of course, black leather is not neglected either, and shortly before the release of the “Barbie” movie, we even get to know a doll fetish of a very special kind. In addition – it goes without saying – the joint journey takes us across the entire gender spectrum!
Curator: Jochen Werner
Jochen Werner lives in Berlin and loves cinema. He writes and speaks about it regularly, among others for Perlentaucher, Filmstarts and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. From 2007 to 2020 he was part of the curatorial team of the Pornfilmfestival Berlin, in 2015 he founded the Stählernen Filmclub (STUC), since 2022 he is curator of the 35mm cinema specials at Hackesche Höfe Kino.
