J\u00f6rg Litwinschuh-Barthel, the previous and universally popular board member, did not want to have to apply for the post he first created after ten years in office and had resigned from office in November 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql o9v6fnle ii04i59q\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql o9v6fnle ii04i59q\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;I am pleased that with the election of Helmut Metzner as the new Executive Board, we have restored the Federal Foundation&#8217;s full capacity to act and created the conditions for successful foundation work in line with the importance of the <strong>Magnus Hirschfeld Federal Foundation<\/strong>,&#8221; said Buschmann. The Minister wished the elected person every success in his work at the Foundation and thanked the members of the Board of Trustees for their commitment during the long selection process.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The foundation&#8217;s board of trustees had already shortlisted Metzner last fall, but then decided in favor of Gero Bauer, the managing director of the Center for Gender and Diversity Research at the University of T\u00fcbingen.
