Curious about DJ-ing but don’t know where to start? Welcome to a complete beginners DJ-workshop for FLINTA* (frauen, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people) hosted by Kali and Ina Vietha from Crush Kollektiv. This is an opportunity to get a brief introduction to the realm of DJ-ing, as well as also get a chance to practice on actual professional DJ-equipment.
During this workshop you’ll get an introduction to:
- What you need in order to play
- Quick introduction to basic music theory, DJ-ing theory (we will cover very basic info about BPM, EQ, melody cueing etc)
- Practice on actual club equipment and sound systems
Bear in mind that this is a short workshop and we will only cover the very basics of DJ-ing. The workshop’s ambition is to give you the fundamental knowledge to inspire you and to get you started. This workshop is targeted towards FLINTA*-people who have no or little knowledge about DJ-ing, but are curious to try it out and to learn the very basics.

Crush Kollektiv (IG: @crush.kollektiv) is a community space that has been organizing monthly sessions for FLINTA* DJs since 2021. They provide community hangouts where FLINTA* DJs can connect, share and experiment with each other where any level and genre is welcome.
