Seit nun mehr 12 Jahren steht der 31. März für den Transgender Day of Visibility. Ein Datum, welches stellvertretend und sinnbildlich für mehr Sichtbarkeit von Trans*menschen ganzjährig steht. Als Berliner CSD e.V. ist es uns wichtig und unser Auftrag darauf aufmerksam zu machen. Wir möchten auch klar verdeutlichen, dass wir uns als neuer Vorstand für mehr Diversität einsetzen und proaktiv die Trans*Community kontaktieren und unterstützen werden. Da unsere aktuelle Quote an Trans*menschen noch sehr gering ist, freuen wir uns über mehr Beteiligung und den Austausch sehr.
Wir freuen uns auch sehr, ein kleines Statement des Community Familienmitglieds Phenix (she, her) zu veröffentlichen. Wir haben Phenix gebeten eine kleine Einschätzung bezüglich Berlin zu geben und was ihr Wunsch für den heutigen Tag ist: „Als Trans*frau in Berlin zu leben, könnte einfacher sein, als an anderen Orten – sind wir ehrlich. Aber ich vergleiche ungern. Darüber hinaus finde ich es persönlich besonders irritierend, wenn Menschen in dieser „Berliner Blase“ sich für super fortschrittlich halten, aber immer noch transphobe Stereotypen in sich haben, ohne es zu (be)merken. Für heute möchte ich, dass jeder ein Spotlight auf all‘ die erstaunlichen Trans*Menschen da draußen wirft, auf ihre Stärken, ihre Erfolge und auch jederzeit ein guter Verbündeter zu sein – jeden Tag. Bis dahin ist es noch ein langer Weg. “ (sinngemäß übersetzt)
In diesem Sinne möchten wir uns bei Phenix und *@Unconditional Forces* bedanken und ebenfalls auf die Plattform aufmerksam machen.

For more than 12 years now, March 31st is representative as Transgender Day of Visibility. A date that is needed and symbolic for more visibility of trans*people all year round.
As Berliner Pride, it is important for us to draw and pay attention to this. We would also like to make it clear that we, as the new board members, will work for more diversity and will proactively contact and support the trans * community. Since our current quota of trans * people is still very low, we look forward to more participation and exchange.
We are also very happy to publish a small statement from the community family member Phenix (she, her). We asked Phenix to give a little assessment of Berlin and what`s her wish for today: „Living in Berlin, Germany as a trans woman might be easier as in other places – let’s be real. But I don’t like to compare. On top of that I personally find it particularly irritating when people in this ‚berlin bubble‘ think of themselves to be super woke but still have transphobic stereotypes in themselves without realizing. For today I would like everyone to shine a light on all the amazing trans* people out there, their strengths, their achievements and also be a good ally at all times – every day. It’s still a long way to go.“ (original quote)
With this in mind, we would like to thank Phenix and *Unconditional Forces* and also recommend everyone to visit the initiative.
