Diversity is now also reflected linguistically in a large number of terms. But which of these are really used in discourse and in the media when it comes to diversity? Can we still say “disabled people” or is it only appropriate to say “people with disabilities”? What do those affected want?
What about “woke”, which refers to social injustice and racism, but is mistakenly synonymous with left-wing in right-wing circles? And which terms should you really know as a professional or layperson?
We invited some of the volume’s authors to talk to them about diversity and queerness and to present this volume.
