Press conference for the 44th CSD Berlin | Berlin Pride
Today was the press conference for the 44th CSD Berlin | Berlin Pride on July 23. The board of CSD e.V. (Patrick Ehrhardt, Ulli Pridat, Monique King and Marc-Eric Lehmann) answered the questions of the press.
Here are the facts:
The 44th CSD Berlin opens at 11:30 am in the presence of the Governing Mayor Franziska Giffey. From Leipziger Straße / corner Spittelmarkt we go through Mitte to the Bundesrat, then we turn towards Schöneberg and Nollendorfplatz. From there we move on to the Brandenburg Gate.
Total length of the route: 7.4 kilometers.
We expect 500,000 participants.
96 trucks and vehicles are registered.
Walking groups do not have to register in advance and can still join the parade at any time without registration.
More than 40 speakers will speak on five association trucks.
These trucks are: House of Pride with a focus on Eastern Europe, Mental Health, FLINTA* with a focus on lesbian visibility, POC and Trans, and the multifaith Truck.
For people with disabilities, there will be two podiums along the route again this year. One will be located at Potsdamer Platz, the other in front of the stage at the Brandenburg Gate. Admission will be granted without registration on site upon presentation of the disabled ID.
We are looking forward to seeing you! Happy Pride!
