The board of the Berliner CSD e.V. announces that this year we will welcome musician Herbert Grönemeyer as a special guest on the stage of the closing rally at the Brandenburg Gate. He stands for this year’s CSD motto “Democracy and Diversity” like no other.
The Berlin CSD e.V. would like to draw special attention to the winners of the Soul of Stone Wall Awards. This year, the awards were nominated by a five-member jury and voted on together with the board.
A diverse closing rally will take place on the stage – with speeches as well as artistic and musical acts. New this year, the program starts at 1 pm and ends around midnight. You can find the entire program here.
As you will no doubt have noticed from the press coverage, the Governing Mayor will not be giving the opening speech this year. Despite a meeting yesterday in the town hall, we were unable to reach an agreement on this. As Berlin CSD, we have made 6 core demands to the state government and Kai Wegner this year and have also demanded that an implementation plan and a strategy (especially for Article 3) are needed so that we can award the opening speech to the Governing Mayor. We have always coordinated our approach with the CSD Forum. The aim was to get our issues moving and to present ourselves confidently as a civil society.
This year, the following associations, organizations, parties and brands will be demonstrating at the Berlin CSD 2024. The list is based on the assigned starting number for the vehicles.
We are many and we have a lot to say! To ensure that the demands, messages and information are conveyed well, the Berlin CSD e.V. is once again looking forward to a large number and variety of presenters this year. Whether it’s the closing rally, demonstration or special presentations, it’s going to be queer.
